Wieland has P&L responsibility for the segment and intends to lead the industry in emerging markets for PVC and PP, and grow SIMONA's share of commodity business by applying his technical and managerial expertise.

He previously held the positions of Product Manager for the POM, PA, and Polyester product lines, and of Cast Nylon General Manager for Ensinger, Inc., where he was employed since 1996.

"With the industry's widest selection of PVC and PP sheet and rod, SIMONA should be the first company that distributors and specifiers call, and the only company when thicker sheet up to 4 inches and large diameter rod are required," says Wieland, adding, "with the widest corrosion-resistant line, we are also strongly positioned to be the go-to provider for fabricated chemical tanks in the US whether constructed out of PVC, PP, or PVDF.

"More than sales, I view our role as providing solutions with quality products, lead time, and pricing that distributors and customers need to win bids, improve productivity and deliver to their customers," he explains.

"Our management team is enthusiastic about Kevin, and confident that under his leadership, fabricators and distributor partners will increasingly turn to SIMONA as their first-tier resource for PVC and PP," reports Mellen.

Wieland holds a BA in Physics from Wittenberg University and resides in Cherry Hill, NJ with his wife Laura and their two children.
